Understanding the impact of CSS in a HTML page of "modern" CSS frameworks

Hi all,

my names is Andrea Davanzo and I am contributing to the Web
Sustainability Guidelines. Yesterday I posted the message below on
#sustainability Slack channel and Tantek said that is worth sharing to
the www-style mailing list. So this is what I am doing.

Sorry for the intrusion and thanks for you attention.

After working on "The systemic failure of implementing CSS principles"
article
(https://www.adavanzo.com/articles/2025/the-systemic-failure-of-implementing-css-principles),
today I published the second part "CSS: Classes Seriously Sprawling"
The article analyses the byte-impact of CSS methodologies like BEM,
SMACSS, Atomic CSS, OOCSS, and ITCSS which, in my honest opinion, are
more an issue both in terms of software engineering and environment,
than a benefit. Moreover, it offers a link to PIERA (Page Inspector
using Element Regex Analysis). It is a limited but simple tool for
understanding the impact of CSS in a HTML page. RFCF (Request For
Comments and Feedback) is open.
