## ## LTO Notification Summary of Review, Monitoring of Comments and
Revision of CAT ## ##

Dear participants in the translation process

The purpose of this message is to send brief summary of the WCAG 2.0
document review process in Brazilian Portuguese.

All comments received during the public comment period for the
Authorized Translation of WCAG 2.0 in Portuguese of Brazil were reviewed
and resolved.

The first draft was translated together with the team responsible for
the European Portuguese translation, to keep the basis of Portuguese
language in accordance with the portuguese orthographic agreement of
1990. Afterwards began the revision to adapt this material to the
specific characteristics of the local language (Brazil). In this phase
the document was sent to the public review of W3C
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-translators/2014AprJun/0016.html>.

After the public review period, the stakeholders
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-translators/2013JulSep/0004.html>
made a new review process, which included meetings and conference calls
to discuss specific terms. Most corrections were related to better
adaptation to Brazilian Portuguese, spelling corrections, spaces between
words, capital letters and typos. Some sentences were restructured to
better understanding in the local language. Links to documents in
English were retained, but with the words in English after it. All the
changes are documented at the page
<http://traducoes.w3c.br/TR/WCAG/revisoes-wcag2-ptbr.html>

The most significant revision were related with a specific term:

education levels: The stakeholder group understood that would be
important to insert relevant information about the equivalent in Brazil
to primary and secondary levels to improve understanding of the document
education. Glossary items are as follows:
primary education level (equivalente no Brasil aos primeiros anos do
ensino fundamental)
lower secondary education level (equivalente no Brasil aos ltimos anos
do ensino fundamental)

The contributions were all consolidated and implemented in the document
on October 14, 2014. Most stakeholders have approved the document (18
approvals, 1 hasn't answered and 2 couldn't revise it). The approvals
were sent to the list created for this purpose
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-auth-trans-en-br/2014Oct/>

Contemplating this scenario and according to 5 of the Policies for
Authorized W3C Translations
<http://www.w3.org/2005/02/TranslationPolicy.html> we consider that the
translation is complete.

reviso do CAT ## ##

Prezados participantes no processo de traduo

Todos os comentrios recebidos durante o perodo para comentrios

foram revistos e solucionados.

O documento base foi confeccionado em conjunto com a equipe responsvel
pela traduo em portugus europeu, para manter a base do idioma no
acordo ortogrfico de 1999. A partir da houve uma reviso de adaptao
desse material para as caractersticas especficas do idioma local
(Brasil). Nessa fase o documento passou para a reviso pblica do W3C
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-translators/2014AprJun/0016.html>.

Depois do perodo de reviso pblica, os stakeholders
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-translators/2013JulSep/0004.html>
fizeram um novo processo de reviso, o que incluia reunies e conference
calls para a discusso de termos especficos. A maioria das correes
estavam relacionadas com a melhor adaptao para o portugus do Brasil,
correes ortogrficas, espaos entre palavras, letras maisculas e
typos. Algumas sentenas foram reestruturadas para uma melhor
compreenso do idioma local. Links para documentos em ingls foram
mantivos, mas com as palavras (em ingls) ao lado. Todas as mudanas
foram documentadas na pgina
<http://traducoes.w3c.br/TR/WCAG/revisoes-wcag2-ptbr.html>.

A reviso mais significativa est descrita descrita abaixo:

education levels: O grupo de stakeholders achou pertinente inserir
informao sobre o equivalente no Brasil aos nveis de educao primrio
e secundrio para melhorar a compreenso do documento. Os itens de
glossrio ficaram da seguinte forma:
nvel de educao primrio (equivalente no Brasil aos primeiros anos do
ensino fundamental)
nvel de educao secundrio inferior (equivalente no Brasil aos ltimos
anos do ensino fundamental)

As contribuies foram todas consolidadas e implementadas no documento
em 14 de outubro de 2014. A maioria dos stakeholders aprovaram o
documento (18 aprovaes, 1 no respondeu e 2 no conseguiram revisar).
As aprovaes foram encaminhadas para a lista criada para esse fim
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-auth-trans-pt-br/2014Oct/>

A partir desse cenrio, de acordo com 5 das Polticas para Tradues
Autorizadas do W3C <http://www.w3.org/2005/02/TranslationPolicy.html>
consideramos que a traduo est completa.
